Blockstream Capital Partners (BCP), an investment group led by Bitcoin veterans, has announced its planned acquisition of Berglinde AG, a financial services company based in Switzerland that specializes in Bitcoin-backed loans and institutional solutions.

This acquisition is a key move in BCP's strategy to expand its reach across Europe's financial centers. By integrating Berglinde—which is known for its Bitcoin-backed lending and risk management expertise in the Swiss ecosystem—BCP is further establishing a global Bitcoin financial ecosystem. This initiative is aimed at offering institutional investors secure, compliant, and scalable Bitcoin-based products, complementing BCP's prior investments in firms like the custodian Komainu. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under BCP’s guidance, Berglinde will expand its services across Europe, boosting its Bitcoin-based asset management capabilities and developing new solutions like tokenized assets and lending platforms.

PeterPaul Pardi, Managing Partner at BCP, stated the acquisition aligns with their vision of creating a fully integrated ecosystem spanning infrastructure, custody, and asset management. Phil Lojacono, Founder of Berglinde AG, echoed this, calling the move a "transformative step" that will help bring institutional-grade products to the European Bitcoin economy. BCP is advised by Dr. Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream, and combines expertise from early Bitcoin investors and seasoned institutional finance executives.
