Fintech giant Revolut has received a crucial Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). This strategic regulatory approval paves the way for the company to launch its enhanced "Crypto 2.0" services across 30 countries in the European Economic Area (EEA).
This move significantly boosts Revolut's position in the European crypto market. The MiCA-backed expansion will make over 280 cryptocurrencies accessible to users and is expected to include attractive features like zero-fee staking and stablecoin-to-USD conversions, influencing market dynamics and user adoption across the continent.
To further its European growth and regulatory integration, Revolut has appointed Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier as the new CEO for Western Europe, leveraging her extensive experience in banking and high-growth management.
