In a surprising development, Harvard University has made a substantial investment in the cryptocurrency market. According to recent SEC filings, the university's endowment invested over $116.6 million into BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) during the second quarter of 2025.

BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF experienced a significant increase in investment on Tuesday, receiving $290 million in inflows, which accounted for 95% of the total inflow into US spot Bitcoin ETFs.
