Just a week after celebrities Caitlyn Jenner and Iggy Azalea launched meme coins, professional wrestler Hulk Hogan seemingly followed suit by introducing the HULK token on Solana. However, the coin quickly turned out to be a scam, leaving investors at a loss.

Hogan took to Instagram to disavow any crypto-related posts from his Twitter account and assured fans that they were not from him. His Twitter feed was completely cleared out, suggesting potential hacking or misuse of the account by someone associated with Hogan.

Despite the lack of evidence on Hogan's official Twitter, his profile still linked to a website for the token. The HULK token initially saw a significant surge in market cap to nearly $19 million before plummeting due to the original token deployer selling off large amounts, leading to losses for investors. Now valued at just $3 million, the incident has sparked backlash from traders who feel deceived by the wrestling icon, although some may find solace in nostalgic memories of his past glory.
