The memecoin market, fueled by social media buzz and celebrity endorsements, continues to be a vibrant (and sometimes volatile) space.

Since the beginning of April, there has been a surge in the creation of new tokens, surpassing 1 million in total. Ethereum saw over 370,000 new tokens emerge, while Solana witnessed the launch of over 640,000 new tokens, primarily memecoins.

Following the market recovery between May 3 and 4, memecoins once again stole the spotlight. As expected, dogwifhat [WIF] led the pack with a 20.58% increase over 24 hours. Dogecoin (DOGE) also saw a rise of 13.80%, while Pepe (PEPE) experienced a 12.93% increase.

Homo Pepe (HOMPEPE), like Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Bonk (BONK), has the potential to become a viral memecoin.

Some memecoins have performed remarkably well over the past few days as the cryptocurrency market settles into this new stage of the cycle.

Shiba Inu [SHIB] and Dogecoin [DOGE] saw weekly losses of 8.5% and 11.4%, respectively.
